Bruno completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of South Africa, whilst simultaneously gaining exposure and experience in the legal field. After an invaluable term with Burden, Swart & Botha Attorneys in Brooklyn (Pretoria) from 2007 to 2011, Bruno founded Bruno Simão Attorneys in Sandton (Johannesburg) in 2012, noticing a gap in the market for a ‘close relation’ legal services offering to corporate entities and their executives, in essence entailing a collaboration between the client and their attorney on the aspects of the client’s business in need of facilitation and legal attention.
Bruno brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and experience from his 16 years in practice. Although this ranges across the board to all facets of the firm’s areas of practice, Bruno’s expertise lies predominantly in commercial, tax and property law, as well as litigation. Bruno has vast experience in these fields, intentionally having acquired extensive knowledge and amalgamating this with a view to offering his exclusive clients an efficient and practical legal solution to their operational needs.
From transactional structuring to disputes, Bruno caters for the resolution of any legal needs in an efficient and pragmatic way, dedicating and committing himself to his clients and exceeding all expectations.

Shillyboy Mothiba is a qualified Chartered Accountant - CA (SA) and a Fiduciary Practitioner of South Africa, Tax Practitioner, Wealth Preservation Practitioner, and co-founder of INTERGEN, a private wealth preservation advisory company.
He is a founder of TaxEdu, a private company with a niche focus in tax education, and Theepa Homes, a property development and investment company.
He is in the final year of studies for a Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation majoring in International Taxes with Witwatersrand University.
Shillyboy Mothiba CA (SA) holds RE5 Regulatory Examination: Representatives in all Categories of FSPs.
He completed a program on Property Development and Investments with the University of Cape Town and a Professional Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration with the Tax Faculty.
His current role as an executive director and Head of Tax at INTERGEN involves advising property investors, high net worth families, and corporates on property portfolios restructuring and tax planning.
He is currently a member of the Finance and Risk Committee and Fundraising and Membership committee at National Business Initiative.
He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and The Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa.

Leonora Swart completed her BProc degree in 1992 at the University of Pretoria. In 1993, she commenced her articles at Andrew Burden Attorneys. She was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 1995 and continued at the firm as a Professional Assistant. She became a partner at Andrew Burden Attorneys in 1997.
Leonora established the Conveyancing Department at the firm and through her dedication, hard work and managerial skills, built the conveyancing department into an exceptional department contributing immensely to the success of Burden Swart & Botha Inc.
Due to her vast experience, in 2018 she was asked to join Bruno Simão Attorneys to spearhead its Conveyancing Division as the National Practice Head of the Conveyancing.

Bruce began his legal career in 2013 with Cronje, De Waal – Skhosana Inc., joining Lloyd Kieser Inc. in 2017. He has also acted as a Director and In-House Counsel in the Agricultural Sector and was a Founding Member of the Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants of South Africa.
Bruce joined the team at Bruno Simão Attorneys in 2020 and is the head associate in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department of the firm.
In this environment of Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bruce specialises in the fields of corporate, and commercial law, taking from his has vast experience, knowledge, and expertise in corporate and trust structuring, the setting up of commercial agreements and transactions on behalf of his clients, tax law, and the resolution of disputes arising from commercial agreements. Bruce prides himself on his ability to identify the areas of greatest concern to his clients and is instrumental in ensuring that his clients are adequately catered for and protected in all their various commercial dealings.
Bruce has established himself as a young practitioner dedicated to the advancement of the law and wealth generation through property.

Alicia Marié Stieger completed her BA in Law in 2014 at the University of Pretoria, majoring in Criminology and Psychology. Whilst serving her articles she obtained her LLB Degree from the University of South Africa in 2017. In April 2019 she was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and continued as a Professional Assistant at Lombard Muller & Partners Inc. Alicia’s dedication and determination has led her to being admitted as a Notary and a Conveyancer in 2020 and 2021, respectively. In August 2021 she joined our Conveyancing team, where she has been closely working with Leonora Swart to further develop and maintain an exceptional Conveyancing Department.
